Ah yes, gotta love the yankee swap. Good idea, except my brother is into trains too, & he usually ends up with the last pick.

Do you, like me, always end up spending lots of money on an office party gift and end up with something cheezy in those ridiculous holiday games where you can steal other people's gift (I'm sure the game has a name but don't know what it is called).

Well, here's a sure-fire method I found, in winning:

Purchase a toy train or railroad-specific book (not the popular coffee table kind). Gift wrap. Put it with the rest of the stuff.

When your number is called, get it. It is now yours because odds are, no one is the least interested in trains or esp. toy trains. If someone is, you've just won a friend. A win-win situation.

If someone takes the book first, you can then legally take it from them later and they will appreciate you.

A win-win for everyone in that ridiculous holiday game.
