S Helper also made matching flextrack without the ballast. If you could find that, you could cut off a piece. I don't know if MTH has done a run of that or not. There's no matching roadbed for the flextrack so you'll have to use cork or mount it on a thin piece of wood/plywood that brings it up to a matching height. Fox Valley has been importing a new line of flex track that is also suppose to match the S Trax.

On the old S-Helper website there was a really complicated process that you could go through of disassembling the track from the ballast section before you cut it to length, and then reassembling it after. This was assuming you wanted to preserve the plastic connectors. OR you can just take a razor saw and slice off however much length of track and ballast that you want. Then slide a rail joiner on the cut ends just like you would do with any length of flex track. You will also have to trim the plastic connectors off of the piece you wish to mate it to. This works fine if your intention is to permanently mount the track on the layout.

I have figured out what is wrong with my brain! On the left side nothing works right, and on the right side there is nothing left!
I am in the process of building a S gauge layout. I am using SHS/MTH S-Trax. How do I go about making custom cut sections?
