7-12000 NY Yankee engine wheels wont move Any ideas to try thanks
Could you be just a little more specific? The wheels won't move while the locomotive's on the track with power going to it, or you can't turn them by hand?
By the way, I was going to get one of those Yankees sets myself, but decided against it. The wife's a Mets fan, she has a sledge hammer and knows how to use it!
I was a Yankee fan during the late 60s and 70s living in Brooklyn the Mets fans were on me all the time= thank god for 77 and 78 re the engine= on the track tender works nothing for the engine no light no movement
OK, if the tender works, and I'm sure the passenger cars are lighting up too, then obviously there's power to the track. I'd suspect there's something very wrong with the locomotive as there's no "on-off" switch I'm aware of, UNLESS it's a "Lionchief-Plus" locomotive and you have to throw the switch on the underside for whichever mode you're running. I'm guessing, I'm not sure what variety of locomotive's in the Yankees set. You may have to bring it back to the dealer.
OK, I just looked it up and I see it's tranformer controlled. Considering the electronics in the locomotive anything could be wrong.
