A GOOD KW will move a lot of trains. The word is GOOD. I have two. Right now with the temp floor layout, I am using only one. Plenty of power [running one conventional and two DCS PS2's, have run two conventional and two PS2's off of it]. I use the little "bricks" like the 80 for powering accessories and etc. Might frind a good one at the next rain show/meet in your area. Good luck.

Definitely not a good idea, even if it will work.

The controlling electronics in the BW controller are designed to handle a certain amount of power, probably 5 amps. The 180 watt powerhouse can put out 10 amps. The controller should have its own protection that will prevent anything over 5 amps from flowing through it, but, if it doesn't, you could easily end up with a room full of smoke, or a heaping pile of molten plastic.

First off, thanks to everyone who responded to my last posting "Transformer Help". Just one more question. Is it possible to replace the power pack from a BW-80 with a Powerhouse 180? They look the same in terms of dimension, but is it possible to just plug a Powerhouse 180 into the throttle controller of the BW? If not, I think I am going to e-bay for a KW. Thanks.
