Lionel part number 58-12 green plow housing needed
Posted by trains2353 on Saturday, May 13, 2017 11:34 AM

I am looking for the plow housing on a Lionel 58 Great Northern snow plow. I did get two MPC ones, but they are not green. I would rather not paint if I can avoid it. New, NOS, or used would be great. As long as the 2 mounting tabs are not broke.

I beleive that the Modern era Lionel #28417 Christmas rotary snow plow has a green housing. Try NL Train works. They list a 620-8417-010 "Snow Plow Assy". That doesn't match Lionel's parts lists. Maybe you can contact them and ask what it is.

And S&W lists a 0058-014 G.N. Snow Blower for $35.

E-mailed both; no answer yet.

The two MPC housings arrived from ebay. They are the same as the OE one; except for color; they were a medium brown. Part numbers stamped on them are the same as the OE. So they will work on a 58.

I painted one; looks ok; the green is off a shade.

I have an extra, if anyone needs one.

Will advise when I hear from the two emails.

Found the listing. It is a green plow housing, but says not availableSad
