She does great work, however if I was going for a restortion of say, a set of 2343 Santa Fe F3's or a classic GG1, Len is tops in the field for that kind of work.   Here is a pic of my custom Autism F3's, donor engines was a pair of beater Santa Fe 2243's with QSI DCRU reverse units instead of E units.  Both are powered.   Mike

There is also a lady over on the O gauge railroading forum that does custom painting.  She took a couple beat up 2243 F'3 I had donated to me and painted them up for Autism Awareness with a full body wrap decal.  Finding custom painters is hard and good ones are not cheap.  But quality work comes at a price.   Len does nice restorations that are as good if not better than than Lionel did them right from the factory.    Mike

The only one who springs to mind is Len Carparelli.  He advertises in CTT, and while his business is model train restorations he might-maybe-possibly do custom paint jobs.  I don't know, you'd have to ask him.

L&L Model Train Restoration Co.

Never hurts to ask.

You may want to ask at your local hobby shop if you have one.  Sometimes people who do custom paint jobs operate on a "word of mouth" basis, that is on referrals from others and on a part-time basis.  Again, never hurts to ask.

Is there any companies that do custom model paint jobs? I am looking for a company that will paint my locomotives to a regional railroad livery.
