The gear on the door has one slightly bent tooth.
The gear on the door is slightly loosely attached to the car.
The pin doesn’t seem too loose.
The screw (with lock washer) seams to be seated.
Check the gear on the door hinge. It is stripped? Also, Lionel used two different diameter hinge pins over the years. Do the pins fit fairly tightly? Or are they loose? The screw that holds the gear to the frame has a shoulder. Is the screw properly seated so the shoulder is in the screw's hole?
I have a 3469 Dump car and having having issue with the door not staying close when down. The door stays open after the second dump, even after adjusting the pivot screw.
It looks like the gears (on the door and car) separate when dumping ? Has anyone else have this issue and know how to fix it?
