Gilbert HO diesel trucks
Posted by rrlineman on Monday, March 13, 2017 2:20 PM

Have a 58 Gilbert HO RSD-7 C&O diesel that needs serious cleaning of the trucks. looks like the bottom plate is pinned to the truck casting. any suggestions on how to get it apart? Also it needs traction tires. what should I use? Thanks all.

Welcome to the forum , but I believe if you have HO you would get a lot more help over on the modelrailroad site of this company as they basically are HO and N scale here we are basically S and O gauge trains

Ihave several Gilbert steamers that I run. I have a few diesels but I've never tried to run them.

Try the link below. They have parts diagrams and some parts. Modern traction tires of an appropriate size should work. I have not had good luck with new old stock.

This is another interesting site if you are into Gilbert
