I use DCS and I like the system. Have not tried DCC but have heard of it. I think that DCS works best with MTH engines in O and S scale. DCC might work better for MTH's H.O. trains.

With DCS you hook up the system between your track and transformer then run the wire to the tracks. Red is positive and goes to center rail and black is neutral or common and goes to the outside rails in 3 rail track. I don't have any experience with S gauge trains on DCS as I run my S gauge straight from the transformer power.

MTH DCS or NMRA DCC?

In MTH's catalog, it says that new locomotives can be run with DCC, although you wouldn't have full access. Is it easier to install DCC instead of DCS, or should I just go with MTH's system?
