Although all cars are uncoupled with the left button, older operating cars are operated by the "UNLOAD" button and newer operating cars are operated by the "UNCOUPLE" button.  I think the functions would be easier to understand if all operating cars were operated by the "UNLOAD" button (which should also probably be relabeled "OPERATE").

This can be accomplished simply by swapping the two middle wires in the cable, whether or not one is replacing the pushbutton controller with a DPDT switch.

A DPDT (on)-off-(on) switch can be used to replace the bulky controller. 6019 illustrated, RCS/UCS, GarGraves/Ross, RealTrax similar.

I am looking for an alternative to the stacked switch UCS  controller. I saw an old post online about using a dpdt momentary switch  but there was no wiring diagram . Has anyone done this and can I get the wiring diagram ?
