Normally what they refer to as "selective compression" refers to the length, not the height, but not always.

I wouldn't worry about it.  Look at a real freight train and you'll see cars of all sizes in the consist, sometimes locomotives too.

Hi, 

I know that Lionel Lionmaster diesel like the SD90MAC are compressed in length but I'm wondering if they are shorter in height too ? Is there a big overall difference with older scale TMCC Odyssey models like the SD70 or the Dash 9. Can they be lashed-up with these scale models without looking too weird heightwise. Thanks
