If it's a sears Promo set it may not be listed in price guide or other books but may be a non-catalogued set. you need to find someone who has non-cataloued sets book.

I did find 9655 but thats is a Sears set in 1962 but I'm betting yours ( 9656) was a steam set. If you contact Carl Swanson or Rodger Carp of this magazine they probably will be the one to answer your question the fastest.

Welcome

The set number is one that I can't locate in the Greenberg's price guide. Even looked up the numbers in the regular listings and no such item. Is there a different number on the box if you have the original box?

First, Happy Holidays to all! My first post of what will be many.

Trying to find the contents of the Lionel 9656 set. The internet is telling me at least two different sets.

Any ideas? Thanks!
