An early happy new year to all in case I'm late tomorrow.

Ole Timer, welcome back to the living.  Hope you're going to continue getting better.

I had a problem myself on Thursday.  To make a long story short, I went to the ER for some kind of medicine interaction I thought. I had a swollen tongue and and difficulty swallowing.  They admitted me and kept me there for 24 hours.  They pumped me full of medicine.  They still don't know if it was caused by an insect bite, food or medicine but I am OK now but tired.  I had to fast the first day in the hospital.  Eating like a horse now.  Saw Helen yesterday, staying home today and going back to see her tomorrow.

Good morning all.  Cold and windy.  Cut hunting trip short and came back last night.  Cold and real windy down east.  Flat land and most folks have cut their timber due to high timber prices.  Wind whips across those big fields.  End of the season for me as Monday is rain.  Enjoyed it.  This trip was the first one I did not see deer.

Will start 2017 Pot as, like most of you, us old geezers will probably be snoring by midnight.  Sure glad to see more posters.  Welcome back Old Timer.  Stay healthy.  Others too.  RT, especially you.

Fifey, gather up those flamingos and keep them warm.

God bless all and have a great and safe 2017.

Hello there,

an early HAPPY NEW YEAR to all.

Been a busy week here even with out work. (Spend Thursday and Friday afternoon there) Got a few things around the house done.

Last evening tragedy struck the next county. A young PA State Trooper was shot and killed while serving a PFA. Please add a prayer for him. A State Trooper friend will retire June 24 and it can't come soon enough for him.

Tonight will be spent quietly at home. Probably be in  bed before the ball drops.

Glad to see Old Timer back. Best get on with the day.

Prayers for those in need

The end of 2016 is a good time to reflect on our blessings and challenges from the past year, and pray that in 2017 we keep God at the center and focus of our life.

May God bless

Jim

Thanks for the quote there Jim. Is it ever true, with my family anyway. With all I went thru starting tuesday after labor day. I'am just grateful to still be here. I look at what we have compare to what we left a little over a year ago. There isn't a day go by I don't think about our blessing's. I pray for others to have great blessing this coming year. We have had some sad news and bad news this year here and we also have had some great news. Lets hope the great news can out weigh any sad/bad news this coming year.

Happy new years all Hope the new year brings in good news to you all. Will talk to you all later, maybe next year will be the first I come and comment in here again.

Good Morning from Beautiful 28°F Southern Ohio,

Things are beginning to get back to a normal mode.  Two of the kids had practice yesterday, and getting the house reassembled.  And Saturday is when I usually clean the chicken coop.

My bride has developed a bad cold so I've picked up a lot of the stuff she normally does.  Lucky for us there were lots of leftovers in the fridge.  I can cook but it is not something I look forward to doing.

We have no plans for this evening.  The kids may have some friends over, but that’s not a big deal.  They're good kids and for the most part low maintenance.  I have services on the West side of the county this weekend so I'll be on the road a bit.

Old Timer – Good to see you posting again

Lee – Prayers for you bride to get better

RT – Nice Christmas presents

Rich – Prayer for the cataract surgery being successful

Chief – I remember the Ohio car!

The end of 2016 is a good time to reflect on our blessings and challenges from the past year, and pray that in 2017 we keep God at the center and focus of our life.

May God bless

Jim

Good evening all,

Sunny day.  Went for a five mile walk outdoors at local Y.  Windy.  Body was fine while walking but ached liked thunder when I got home.   Did very little else today.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Hello. Looks like WPB FL got a minor chill this morning, 54 on the car thermometer.

Wife complained of chest pain yesterday and I took her the walk-in clinic. The clinic referred her to the hospital, she was there overnight and should be able to come home in a few minutes as soon as the cardio doctor sees her. The hospital is running behind because of the holiday accidents on the roads and doctors wanting to have time off.

When I came home last night there was a bad accident on Jog Road here in WPB between Melaluca Rd. & Pine Ave. Had a part of Jog road closed so I had to find an alternate route home, about a ten minute delay.

We quit the running years ago,,,had to do with kids.. LOL. Besides cops all over the place that night.

Sun is out and it is 25. Should get above freezing later. Not much else today other than looking for parts to build the A-unit with the motor truck that is showing up today..

8N that 'attic dust' is out of scale. Laugh

Sunny and very windy today.  The dog had great fun chasing leaves while we were out on our walk.  Supposed to be getting colder next week.

Kev - I thought that the locomotive on the CTT cover was 'weathered' using the 'attic dust' method I've used on most of my equipment.

Stopped at city hall and filed applications for building, plumbing, and electrical permits to turn our ground floor full bathroom into a 1/2 bath and add a master bath in a room off of our bedroom.  Hopefully, I hear back from thei city in the near future so I can get cranking on the project.

Heard from the museum today that the U.P. wants an update on the project that we have started to add some layouts in the freight express building the middle of next month.  I'll have to upgrade my sketches to real drawings and talk with the HO guys about the proposed HO layout to finish up the progress report.

Still waiting on the Great Lakes Express set I won on the 'bay.  Supposed to be here next week sometime.

All for now.

Good evening all,

A quiet day at home as wife went to visit sister.  Did some errands and looked at some potential vehicles.   Was going to see "Sing" tonight, but wife did not want to fight the crowds.  Did go for an hour walk today.   Checked out the local antique stores.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Thanks Roy. says set number 7-11028 big surprise can't find in price guide lol. Nor even the engine number. I looked at the Cars while I was there and looks like I can get the plastic pick-up that snaps into the axles and truck sides and I will be able to add illumination to the cars. to me they need it as they have silhouettes in the windows.

I don't know RT, Strange that they have silver trucks and looks like gold above and below the blue Stripe. I checked my 1970 to 2000 book and don't see anything like them. Never seen a Lionel Lines ALCO before either???  Tongue Tied

Going to cool off some, about 65, before New Years day but start warming up again saturday afternoon, then should be back to almost 80 during the day on Sunday & Monday.

Went to Pompano Beach FL and ordered some new bathroom cabinets as the old one is falling apart and very much over-sized so I had to get two 30 inch units side by side.

Still have wiring work to do on current layout, lights in the houses and upper level tracks to permantly wire in.

Any body have lionel lines plastic cars silver with blue stripe no numbers apears to be a coach, a dome car, and observation.

Any way seems to be a set with matching Engine ( F-unit)

RT, I don't but I see some passenger cars produced in 1993-94 Red stripe that were not lit and un-numbered . So maybe they made the Blue ones to. What road name is on them? Lionel Lines? What What car names? What is on the F-unit?

Morning all.Not a lot planned for today. Going to put the other shelf up then start arranging things for when all the stuff comes home. At present 9 train sets and one expansion set all in there original boxes. Then another 6 sets that aren't really sets or not in there original set boxes.(coke set, pepsi set, lionel lines passenger set. ( I need to look into illuminating that set, I thought at least todays trains would have iluminated cars. )

Have figures and all but no pick-up on the trucks may have to explore these closer, Maybe some one removed the pick-ups for some reason. Any body have lionel lines plastic cars silver with blue stripe no numbers apears to be a coach, a dome car, and observation.

Any way seems to be a set with matching Engine ( F-unit)

Hope all have a good day, talk to you all later.
