Morning all. New pot.
Deer hunting and hot weather is not good. Finally heat came on this AM. Maybe fall will get here.

Good Afternoon from beautiful 70°F Southern Ohio,
November Pot! Wow, time is flying! I left off in the October Pot with a notion of using the AF accessories and action cars for an operating display at the train show Thanksgiving Weekend. I’ll talk to the event coordinator and see if there is room for me to set up. It has been years since I’ve set up a train display at the show because of my work schedule had me working for several years.
I’m going to put together a list and ask for you all’s input to which I should take. Whatever I take there will be flamingos somewhere.
May God bless
Jim
Morning all. Waiting for mail lady to deliever a 90's boxcar U.S.Army that shoots a roctet out of it like the 3665 does.
Not much else going on around here today. Hope all have a good one

Seems I posted to the October Pot... someone forgot to lock it?Cut-N-PasteMornin' FellasFife - I've got all sorts of drills! 2 1/2" drills (Black and Decker and Dewalt), also have a Milwakee (?) right angle drill... thing is massive. Haven't powered it up in a few years, but if you're interested I could pull it off the shelf and verify.Still recovering from a mild cold. Nothing serious just a nasty productive cough now. Removed the wood screen doors from the screened porch this past weekend. They had started to mold and fall apart. Replaced them with vynil doors. Looks good. Now to finish hanging the PVC trim on the rest of the outside, then next spring replace the decking on the landing to match the porch outside the sunroom and that project will finally be done! (only 6 years in the making)Prayers for those in need.Doug - sending prayers your way!Fife - congrats on Middle Princesses' new job!Banks - take your meds and get some rest! prayers your way too.

Good evening,
A busy day yesterday so I ran out of time to post. Today wasn't as busy and I am about ready to call it a night. Plus, I need to be at work earlier than usual tomorrow.
Good night,
Joe
Evenin' boys. Cloudy & 40 along the Patterson Creek cutoff. Spent an hour or so with PODS rep on the phone. Problem is with local carrier. Doesn't respond to corporate's emails nor requests for communicating with customers. Received a telephone message saying 10:45 tomorrow. We. Shall. See.
Spent rest of the day assembling a Whalen 3-tier flat tv stand. There were many parts left over. Wish I had bought the service policy for the 50"...
Wifey took down what Halloween stuff with threw up, and it looks like autumn central with all of her scarecrows in the great room. She is most happy in her new digs, and we both like living along the Potomac Valley.
Since it'll be awhile before I brake ground on a new layout, turning attention to Christmas layout. Gotta be careful about setting it up in the train room, as that would definitely create inertia for tear down.
Hello there,
yesterday is a blur. Slept till 1pm. Then took my camper to repair shop.
Front is"delaminating " from a roof leak I repaired 2 years ago. First place I went said it wasn't worth fixing. This guy said 4or5 hundred. It'll be ready next week.
Spent an hour or so helping son repair the burner for his coal stoker. Got 600 in parts but a new boiler is 10K. Went to all saints mass after getting mom from daycare. Then another hour getting the burner reinstalled before crashing for the nite.
Felt pretty good this am but down hill from there. Crashed on the couch waiting on time for her bedtime pills.
Fife......depending on what you are drilling through sometimes a hammer and chisel or a hammer drill and lots of small holes are quicker and easier than a big drill with a 2" bit. They can be a b***h to hold on to, especially in an awkward position. Been there done that. I to have a host of small hammer drills at the house and access to a big one from work. With all that is going on here now a quick trip to West By God Virginny to drill a 2" hole might be a welcome distraction.
Still no report from Fridays biopsy. Hope it's not taking longer because they are trying to identify it.
Gonna try for a nap.
Prayers for those in need

Good evening all,
Very good day at work. Finished up a long term project, got labs done and got caught up on case reports to start the month. A rare trifecta. Had a good walk today and did some end of season yard trimming tonight while weather is good. Could probably do more, but probably won't. Got Halloween stuff put away. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Wow. Page 1. October sure went by quickly.
Phish - All of those sound neat. Pick three or four of the ones that operate most dependably. Make sure that you let the kids operate one or two of them - with your guideance.
It is always interesting to queue up a rocket launcher and ask (tell) one of the older kids or an adult to "push that button" and watch their reaction when whatever it is takes off (you got to watch down range to make sure it is clear).
Automated gatemen are popular too. Semaphore Sam would also be a good choice. I've never seen one, but I'll bet that the cow on the track would be another good choice.
Pick your favorites and run with them.
All for now.
Evening all!
Nice day high 80's. Rain is gone from forecast. Low 70's after the front rolls through later this week.
Been rooting for Chucks Indians but looks like not tonight. Winner take all tomorrow?
Banks - DougDG -
Mike C - congrats on the "trifecta" today.
Good start to November...

Jim,
A Talking Station will draw people to your display, and I like the 751/751A Log Loader paired up with a log dump car.

Do you have a 766/K766 Guilford Station? How's the 356 Silver Bullet coming? I'm glad it's in good hands.
Banks,
Continued
Fife,
Hope things are going well with the new Fifedom
Aloha. Supposed to be rainy but it's a pretty morning - can't believe the Cubs are still in it. Wouldn't Chuck be thrilled!? Tonight should be fun. Jim, an AF T'giving layout sounds great. Hope you get the POD on Fri, Fife. Prayers for Doug and Ms. Banks.

Mornin' boys. Clearing and 43 in the Potomac Valley today. S'posed to be nice temperature wise this week. Gotta keep pluggin' along with the painting, and get outside and seal some cracks between the driveway and home.
Banksie - Very nice of you. I'm going to see if I can run something up and over the firewall before I go "blasting" through same. Continued best wishes for you as well.
88 - Same to you, thanks.
cnw1995 - Trying to get rid of my case of the PODS (since 10/18). Asked to speak with their Legal Dept, but gal "couldn't" supply me with their number. We shall see today. Right now the line is 5-2.
Wow hit 78 on Nov 1st yesterday here. Worked outside all day after paying bills and getting food and supplies at Kroger. Still don't have the corn out so the deer are still in the fields.

Afternoon. 74 degrees and warming. Busy Town morning. Maybe goof off this afternoon. Headed to the grill for fried chicken gizzards.
I see the Fifedum is beginning to get established. Borrow a neighbor's tractor. Hook to POD and drag it into the highway. Then let the local enforcement have it towed away. Then they will charge PODS for the towing.
All have a good one.
It was a bit chilly this morning on my drive to work but it warmed up to the low-50s and the sun peeked out once in a while. I spent most of the day in meetings but left work at a decent hour. The wife and I had a quick dinner alone and brought home pizza for the kids. Everyone is winding down for the night now.
Shhhhhhh...
Hear that...?
It's gone.
80 today and now slowly headed to mid-70's (not low 70's) starting tomorrow. No rain.
Go Indians!
Fife - so now instead of KNOWING where the POD is you get to WONDER where the POD is!
Potentially bad day at work turned out surprisingly well. Good day for walk outside. EB I 74 finally back to 2 lanes. Did very little at home tonight. I hope everyone has a good day.
PS Congrats to Fife and I like the Chief's solution as well.
Chuck - bottom of the 8th/top of the 9th and we still have a ballgame in Cleveland!
Hello all
Back at work for another week. We are closed right now due to weather. First snow of the season on the mountain this week. Was the warmest October on record for Tucson.
Well, we got the red paint on the '46 Ford Transit bus this weekend. Looks good, even it is is a bit like a fire truck:) They were putting in windows when I left for work today. Planning on taking it to a car show this weekend. Changed the oil in it last night. My first time tinkering w/ a Ford flathead.
Drove the Corvan most of my week off. Did relatively well, but I went ahead and ordered the Pertronix iginition unit for it. Time to get rid of the points to help make it idle a bit better.
Took the clutch out of the Datsun yesterday. Was one of the easiest clutches I've ever pulled. Was really handy to have it on the lift over at Bill's too. Throw out bearing was done (we knew that) and the disc was so loose the springs and rivets sounded like a tambourine. Will put in the new kit when I get back.
Got a few more things done to the motorhome this past week. Never quite as much as I hope, but that's ok. Looking forward to starting on my own at some point. I've made the first two payments on the Tacoma Twin. 22 more to go:) When we get the other post-war Twin over in the yard I can start sorting through the parts stored in it.
My friend Bill got some bad news today. He lost one eye as a child and now has macular degeneration in the other. Been trying various treatments for a while now. Today one of the better retina specialists in the area told him there is nothing that can be done. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Mornin' FellasBob - prayers for your friend Bill.Fife - glad the POD saga has resolved itself. Sorry I suggested it, so not the experience my buddy from SSA had! Chief - that was an awesome suggestion! I'm sure it wouldn't have worked out well for Fife though. 'New kid on the block sticks a POD in the middle of the highway!' Yeah, that couldn't end well. Leaves are really starting to drop, days are getting shorter, weekends are getting packed full... not sure when I'll get around to clearing them, and I have to finish the screened porch. I love Fall, but it really sucks for getting outside work done! LOL
Oh well Chuck - next year. That was one of the best baseball games I have seen in years, particularly for being a game 7 in the Series. Stayed up too late tho...
Bob - sorry about your friend Bill
Where o' where has the POD gone? Where o' where can it beeeee?
Sun and 50s today
I went to bed after 11:30 and the game was tied. Being born and raised a Buckeye I kinda leaned Cleveland's way. Both teams deserved to win so congrats to the Cubs. Leaves are falling big train show this weekend means fall is here with no turning back.
RIP Jerry Williams.
And thats where MTH began.
Mornin' boys. Overcast & 68 along the Patterson Creek cutoff. Made coffee this morning from the old grinds from fifedom . Out that cannister goes... Transplanted our "Benji" into a bigger container. Cats had sprayed the old one. Not liking cats these days, sorry. More painting today.
As a sports fan, this series was great to watch. Both teams deserved to win. Last game was all you can want in any championship event (save the rain delay). Both skippers overplayed their hands with their pitching.
88 - I wouldn't have gone another route, but would have insisted before agreeing to contract on the terms of pick-up. Probably wouldn't have mattered. Movin' on.
submmbob - for your pal.
I don't have much to report today; it was business and life as usual here. Due to the time difference I didn't get to watch the game. From what I have heard and read it was a great game and a good thing for MLB. I hope you all have a great day.
Fife - I'm glad the POD saga is over.
