There were some problems with the set that had the Alco engine. Other than that the sets have been very well done and nice to own.

Lionel Postwar Celebration Steam sets, what can I expect?

I am thinking about picking up a few of the Postwar Celebration Series sets. I have my eye on the Super O Freight Set at the moment. I'm curious if there are others that would be willing to describe their experience with the set. I'm interested in locomotive performance, quality of the cars, and whether it's a good value. I'm not a "postwar purist" but enjoy the nostalgic look and feel of that era. I do like TMCC, sound, and a good smoke unit, along with smooth reliable performance.

Thanks!
