The above statement is correct. Weaver tooling, made in USA with USA & imported parts.

In so far as i am aware, Lione bought the stateside tooling to make the LionScale cars.

Now weather Lionel bought some of Weaver tooling I can't say one way or the other . But lionel has been doing some decorating/building here in the U.S. for a few years. IE the presidental cars I believe are put to gether here.

I see Lionel is going to offer cars decorated in the US. Are they made from Weaver tooling? If I was rich before Weaver closed I would have ordered 100 green C&NW PS2CD high side covered hoppers. I have 3 green ones and a yellow one. Hard to find on eBay.
