Attempting to hook a lionel 445 operating switch tower to an insulated rail, tube track. This is a "newer" model with the terminals on the base of the accessory. Terminals are vertical, top one reads ac input, second one reads ac input, third one reads action, fourth one reads light.
I assume the "action" terminal is. to go to the insualted rail. Beyond that I am now totally befuddled. Haven't found a wiring diagram on line for this terminal setup.
My friends tell me to put the trains down and behave like a grown up, I know they're wrong.
Any tips, guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Insulated wire to top AC
Other to 2nd AC
Loop a wire from 2nd AC to action terminal and light terminal.
I'm familiar with the older version. Do you have the model number? We can look up the instructions on the Lionel web site.
Here is what I think the connections are,
The AC terminals should be power and return. Return is the outer rail and power can be the center rail or a seperate power source. Action is the insulated track rail, Light goes to center rail or power to operate the light.
