All of a sudden awhile back my Mikado (out of warranty) decided to stop smoking. I contacted Lionel and they tried to help me get it going again, to no avail. So I sent the work to them. They fixed the problem within an hour and returned the work almost immediately. Great service. Turns out the batten was burned, so they replaced it. She's back now and smokin' away. I put her on the top rung of my layout and took her for a spin. Here's a video, if you care to watch.
Tombstone Southwest Railroad
Ooooo, I gotta get me one of those!
However, with proper Jersey Central or Erie markings!
I will say this is one thing with modern smoke units, if it ain't wet, turn it off! They're not as forgiving as the old smoke pill units.
