Flyer - The first one you listed - the NYC Caboose is the same as mine except mine is much better, Mine also has a NYC deisel that is battery driven. The second one while not looking like mine the track looks the same. Thanks for the info - Wayne

It looks as if the Playthings line of trains may have been made by Mettoy.

I recently found some tin toy trains at an auction. I can't find much of anything about them. They are made in Japan by Playthings - that's as much info that is on them. Consists of NYC engine, boxcar, gondola, NYC red caboose. There is also metal two rail track, gauge between S and O. Engine is battery operated. The graphics are beutiful. I did see under sold on Ebay a caboose like mine and also one still up for sale. Any info at all would be greatly appreciated, like when made and anything else. Thanks in advance
