both OGR and CTT said the whistle is like a buzzer. Is that true, and can anyone provide me with a sound clip of the whistle

I love this engine. Perfect size, price and detail. I wi***hey would do this treatment with some of the other more resent smaller engines. (4-6-0,2-6-0) I am really looking forward to the J&L train though I already have one of these engines. This summer I took a tour of a former J&L mine site in upstate NY with the groundskeeper.

This 0-6-0 looks alot like a logging engine from the Grasse River RR with the addition of a lead truck I am thinking of converting mine to this. Finally a use for those Keystone Grasse River RR caboose and log buggys kits I've been gathering up. I can put off buying that $$ $hay I can't afford.

Mine works great. Best Lionel smoker I have - I have to turn it off when running in the living area! My engine is also getting better and better as it breaks in. It used to hesitate on my 022s - after break-in and fresh lube - it's much better. It's quiet and it pulls like a mule.

The one I have smokes very well. I am also impressed with how long it smokes on a few drops of smoke fluid. We ran this little guy for 16 hours on our portable display layout for a holiday charity food drive. All we did was keep it oiled and add smoke fluid.

I one I was was. It is a piston not fan smoke system. But it did do a good job.
