Wiring a Lionel 153IR

I'm attempting to wire a pair of MTH crossing signals (30-11012) with crossing arm to two Lionel 153IR so a train will activate the crossing signals going either way.  The gates use 4 wires - Red and black going to the 153IR acc power and ground, one wire to NO and one wire to NC.  I can wire two of the crossing signals/gates to one IR so when activated, both will operate.  The problem is trying to wire an additional IR so the train will activate them going the opposite way.

Any help would be appreciated.
