I know I am a day early but here are some standard gauge pictures from around my son's Christmas tree. We run Mostly American Flyer but have Ives and a reproduction Lionel State set. Buildings are from Flyer, Ives , Lionel and Marx

Nice pics!  Too bad those poor soldiers don't stand a chance against total extermination by that New Paradigm Drone Dalek!!!

Hey, if those Doughboys could handle Kaiser Bill and his Prussian Guards anything else is a cakewalk!

It'll be "Over, Over There" on that layout in no time!

"EXTERMINATE!  EXTERMINATE!"

"Oh yeah?  Sez you, pal!"

Sounds like we both got lucky this past weekend, I picked up a Lionel 736 myself at a Greenberg show.  Nice engine, I can see why it's considered one of the post-war "Holy Grails."

Nice pictures...Somedays I wish I had room for Standard Gauge..my wife is always pushing for me to do something in G gauge....I remember back in the 60s when one of my friends father started collecting Standard Guage and just all trains in general.  I used to think they were so big, and I didn't even look at prewar...Now I see those trains and admire them....the plastic of our postwar and onward is a very different medium....I stopped by my friends establishment the other day and reminisded how I used to come see his father back then, and get my train things....Standard/Pre/Postwar the days were full and simpler, yet I still like to tinker with my trains...Thanks for sharing..Alank
