I am constantly amazed at the generosity of fellow hobbiests. Being on the autism spectrum, my income is very limited. That I am able to work and drive is something I am very thankful for. However that limited income really restricts how much I am able to afford to keep myself busy on my layout. I am a member over on another forum that is just for O gauge trains. I have had 2 members send me good condition Lionel tubular track so that I could finish my track plan and run trains, and another send me a pair of Lionel 2243's(both powered) for a special project. That project is to have 2 F3's painted in the rainbow jigsaw colors for Autism Awareness. With that slogan on the sides where it used to say "Santa Fe". I recieved the units today, stripped the shells of all their extra details and repacked them to go to the painter. Christine Braden of CJB Custom Painting will be donating her time to strip and paint the shells, and is working on possibly getting the decals donated. I plan to run the units for my own enjoyment, and take them to shows to make guest runs on any 3 rail layouts that have conventional control. Maybe in time, I will be able to afford to put TMCC in them. Without the generosity of others, I wouldnt be able to run trains right now or even start this special project Most do not realize how important it is for me to be able to run trains. Train time is when I can totaly relax and most best recover from daily stress. When I am unable to run trains, I am more prone to both meltdowns and shutdowns due to stress and sensory overload issues I have due to my autism. I am so thankful to be involved in such a great hobby with so many great folks willing to donate or help when needed. Mike

I think the great and generous people outnumber the mean and selfcentered people, but like beautiful days and other blessings, they are often overlooked or taken for granted.
