Rob not necessary as I have heard of examples where one side was heat stamped and the other wasn't they are very rare but they are out there I wasn't aware thou that the font would be different

There is a huge difference in the look of heat and rubber stamping, not just feel.

The amount of indentation is a variable, if one side is obviously heat stamped,  the other side is too.

I know unless you really saw this you may not believe it but I have a 2033 dummy unit that one side is definitely heat stamp but the other side feels like rubber stamp could this be possible? there is no inditation anywhere not even in the Lionel logo in bottom rear corner it's all rubber stamped
