MTH DCS AIU wiring for Standard Gauge switches!!
Posted by lionel2 on Sunday, December 27, 2015 10:51 AM

How do I wire my 8 standard gauge switches to my MTH DCS AIU??  I have brand new MTH switches with 5 posts, 3 for controllers and 2 for constant voltage.  Any help will do.  Thanks, Jeff

The AIU is a switching device and needs to have power supplied to it. Constant voltage will supply power to the switch from your transformer. Read the AIU instructions and your switch's instructions as it has been a few years since I wired one.

Lionel used the outside rail for the non-derailing feature and the outside rail power is what is used to control most Lionel switches.
