Gargraves stainless w/plastic ties?
Posted by Boyd on Sunday, November 15, 2015 9:59 PM

Anyone use the new grey plastic tie Gargraves with all stainless rails? I'm considering redoing my Fastrack yard in Gargraves stainless, no black center rail.

Have you used plastic rails in the past? just asking as I have always used the wood. Myself I would prefer black centerail not sure why you want stainless center unless you have a area that gets damp but then I wouldn't want my trains in there and stainless you lose your magna traction if you have engines with it. Just some things to think about.

I have another recent thread about allergies and the layout. My layout room is where I have my bed and I want to raise the humidity so I don't wakup with my sinuses on fire. Most of my trains are 70 and newer. My only engine that might have magnetraction is a 1666.
