I have been working on this project off and on and finally have it altogether and running.  I started with a Williams NW-2 Monon Switcher and added ERR Cruise Commander to make it TMCC/Legacy compatible. Short bar coil couplers were added to each end.  A 5mm LED flashing light was added to the roof after carefully drilling a hole and two cool white 5mm LED lights for added for the headlights. I buy my LEDs from Evan Designs because they are simple to install.  I still have room for a sound card as soon as I order the correct connector from ERR.  So this is how it runs so far:

Very nice. Great to see the Monon. I grew up in Northwest Indiana and try to get to the great train Museum in Monon Indiana when back home visiting relatives. I have a few Monon pieces. Like you, I have the Williams Monon Switcher and the Williams BL2. Also have a few pieces of freight to go with them. Oh yeah, also enjoy the Marx Monon train. Thanks again for sharing.

Here are some pictures of my first Christmas gift. It was 11% off so Sandra just went ahead and got it for the layout. I like it.

watinva.....I was born in Lafayette, IN wearing Old Gold and Black. Big Smile When my Great Great Grandfather mustered out for the Civil War, he boarded the Monon.  I have the Black and Gold caboose by Williams and the BL2.  The caboose was really difficult to find. I did not know there was a museum at Monon.  There used to be a small museum at Linden, In.

Buckeye Riveter... The museum in Monon is called the Monon Connection. They have a website at http://mononconnection.com. Great collection of railroad lanterns and also have some real rail rolling stock including a Bucyrus Train Crane. The Whistle Stop Resturant at the museum had a good lunch when I was there last.

Monon oguage rolling stock is hard to find. I too was able to find the Williams Black and Gold caboose. I have the 3 Lionel Monon hopper cars,  couple RMT Monon boxcars, AMT Monon flatcar and a few others. Would like to find a red Monon caboose but will probably have to use one of my old AMT cabooses and convert to Monon. Maybe I will get my Monon stuff on the track and take a few pics for next weekends photo fun. Would like to see pics of some of your other Monon stuff too. Oh yeah, I have a little Black and Gold in me as I am a grad of Purdue U, Calumet campus in Hammond Ind.
