Special Issue?
Posted by chipset35 on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 2:20 PM

Has the new special issue of CTT been shipped to subscribers yet?

I tried to order it thinking maybe my subscription renewal might not include it, so I went to order it but was told I already have it on order.

Confused.

The special issue is not part of the regular subscription, it should have started being mailed to readers who pre ordered it last week.

Received my copy yesterday. The best special issue yet, will provide hours of enjoyment reading and studying the excellent photos. Carries me back to my youth in the 50's.

I got mine a few days ago.I think it's great. I'm learning a lot about Lionel's display layouts. I think a good follow up would be an issue about readers who have re-created these layouts either using original track and accessories or following the same track plan but using modern materials and fastrack.

Hi To All the Readers of the CTT Forum.

Please be aware that the special issues offered each year on Lionel history are NOT part of your subscription. As we have mentioned time after time, you have to order them separately. And the print editions consistently sell out--so don't delay!

Consider them books in which years and years of research go.

I will be at the TCA Museum on Wednesday, October 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. signing copies. And of course I will be at the CTT booth in the Orange Hall at the York show this week to sign them.

Stop by and say hi and let me show you the latest special-interest publication offered by CTT. No one else comes close to what we offer hobbyists who care about the heritage of our wonderful hobby.

Thanks for the fast response.

I do not remember if I pre-ordered it or pre-ordered when I re-subscribed.

Either way, what got me confused was that when I tried to order it, I received a message stating I had already ordered it.
