Toy Scale? No way
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, March 31, 2002 11:43 PM
The latest CTT had an editiorial that suggested calling offscale O and O27 "Toy Scale." That sounds silly. Try "Tinscale" - the word has been around a while - in fact, there's an entire article on it in the O/O27 section of my website - http;//www.thortrains.net - that article has been up there for at least a year now. As far as I'm concerned, the terms suggested in the editorial will contribute to confusion rather than clarify. Stick to writing about classic trains. Leave all the fuss over names and categories to the scale people. We can't get rid of them, so we may as well find something for them to do :)

Hey Thor, man you are so right... read this back to yourself, Toy Trains not bad, eh? If I was that worried about the absolute scale of these wonderful trains I'dgo nuts! Will be visiting your site soon, Cheers, Slick
