There is a site named after a river/rain forest in Brazil... type '2450mAh rechargable batteries' in their search bar and you get links to a number of them.

O-GaugeOscar............ But, Menards only carries 1350 mAh rechargeable batteries. Will a 1350 mAh battery work with the other original batteries, or do I risk a possible charging/fire problem? ..........
It's not a good idea to mix capacities that are so different. Maybe 2400 and 2450 could be OK(I've probably done that many times with a camera), but 2450 and 1350 is probably asking for trouble.
If you use something non-rechargeable, make sure to remember not to rest the remote in the charging stand.

When my original batteries failed I purchased 2450 mAh Duracells. Got them at the local CVS in a promotion pack that included a charger. The charger was helpful in verifying a bad battery rather than a failure in the 990 charging circuit. I recommend staying with 2450mAh batteries. Alternatively Lithium Ion non rechargables work as well.

A lot of places online sell Batteries but you will probably have to buy 2 or 4. Most guys I know take the rechargables out and use regular batteries.
