Here's an Idea

When I had a lionel at my local library, i had to take it down- I only have 1 transformer. I replaced it with a $5 battery-power set called (this is tooooooooo corny) "Classic train" I was messing with it (no matter how corny, I run any trainset I can. I wondered about the gauge, so I took it up to my room where I keep my 0-gauge layout. I compared it to a postwar 1666 by lionel and it was similar. I set it on the track, and it actually fit. So, if you have kids or grandkids that like your layout, give them this set and let them put it on your layout. The set comes from Dollar General and has two 4-wheeled trucks on each car. The engine is an old-time 0-6-0 with a lionel-style "Chugger" inside, providing a "Click, Click" sound. No whistle or reverse.

Call me crazy, but I LIKE Zito yellow. RAILFANESPEE4449
