AMERICAN MODELS FP-7 A UNIT W/ B SOUND UNIT.

Some time ago I purchased a AM FP-7 A unit with B sound unit.  I can only pull about 6 to 7 cars with it.  Can I add traction tire to it to increase the pulling power?  I have contacted American Models serveral time about this and never received a reply back about it.

There is a product called Bullfrog Snot made for this purpose. Check it out, it is available from online parts vendors.

Something is not right. My AM F7AB pulls about 20 cars(mixed makes S gauge) on my layout no problem.

the Universals joints might be slipping on the metal shafts. take the shells off and run the pair and watch the drive train to see if they are. And try calling AM directly. their # is listed on the home page. And check to make sure the gears boxes are not damaged in anyway with chipped or split plastic gears

Just be glad you don't have the 1st design with the spring coils shafts. hope this helps.
