Sunday Photos - July 11
Posted by stebbycentral on Sunday, July 12, 2015 9:30 AM

Some time back I constructed a set of shelves for my train collection. I became dissatisfied with the first attempt because I saw that there was too much wall space showing between levels.

Last month I took a couple of days to rebuild the unit adding 2 new shelves in the process.

I have figured out what is wrong with my brain!  On the left side nothing works right, and on the right side there is nothing left!

Nice  collection  stebby,

I have something "Train" to show for SPF today. I got this from one of my neighbors for watching his house when they were on vacation. I think it is a lunchbox from around the thirties but am not sure. It has no markings on it I can see, but it is cool.

Anyone know for sure what it is???   Confused

First... Stebby, nice remodeling job.  Looks much better.

As a few of you know, Mrs. Buckeye took me to Alaska for our 40th wedding anniversary.  We were gone two weeks.  One of the many highlights of the trip was riding the White Pass and Yukon Railroad.  If you ever get to Skagway, it is a must ride.

The locomotives are called shovel nosed.  They are rebuilds. Notice the six axles on a short locomotive.

Thanks, it looks the same but there are some small differencies. The one I have has no markings on the bottom. But a good answer to the question.

 Thanks traindaddy,,,,,,,,,, Big Smile

Looks like a great trip Buckeye!!!!!!!!!!!

Buckeye, thank you for the photos from your trip. I have made numerous trips to Alaska, but have not ridden the White Pass & Yukon. Your photos immediately brought the attached Youtube video to mind and I had to post it. It's a video I treasure.

swede........Great video! Thanks for link.  That is one video that really shows the railroad and the scale of the mountains.
