Does it use a can motor? If it does, replacing the brushplate and relubing the end bearing are my suggestions. Otherwise, I would just lube it like any other engine
I bought a Menard Lionel RS-3 set at a show a couple of years ago. I love the set but the engine is really noisy. It has plastic gears and one can motor. I lubricated it a few weeks ago and it quieted down somewhat. Does anyone have a simple cheap fix to get the motor to stop wheezing. I have been told to get another motor for the other set of trucks, maybe that is the only way. ANYONE?
