Hey Roger, I am currently revitalizing a D289 and a D147. I have a d190 I restored last year. Also a D40 semaphore that has the original pillar and banner with a reproduced base. I have reproduced a complete Lazy Susan display as well and several others, both pre and post war. Look forward to the new book!

Help with Next CTT Special Issue on Lionel Displays
Posted by Roger Carp on Thursday, April 30, 2015 3:42 PM

Hi everyone,

Every year, Classic Toy Trains creates a brand-new special-interest publication on some aspect of Lionel and its history. Last year, after doing loads of research and writing many new articles, we put out an appreciation of 100 years of Lionel accessories.

I am now preparing our latest special-interest publication--a history of Lionel's displays, including store layouts, countertop items, signs, clocks, and banners.

I am asking readers for their help:

I would like to hear about any display layouts and promotional items in your collection. And I would appreciate your sharing photographs of those items with me so we can consider putting them in this special publication. Also instruction sheets and other literature relating to display layouts will be great.

You can send information or photos to my email address:

rcarp@classictoytrains.com

Be sure to include any information you have about the item as well as your name and mailing address.

Deadline for sending materials and pictures is June 1, 2015

Many thanks in advance for your help and time.
