Well, I thought it was pretty interesting that a guy was making laser cut buildings from a photo or a sketch a hobbyist provides. It gives hobbyists pretty much any structure they want - like the house where they lived as a kid, or their business, or something like that.

And yes, as I mentioned in the post, the guy doing it is someone I know and I was making the effort to tell people I thought might be interested about it.

It is disappointing that content people can actually use is discouraged so adamantly that it is almost immediately deleted from the board.

No reason to be snarky. A photo and some comments about it would have been fine.
