No need to reply.  I did a little more investigating and figured it out.  One of the contact springs wasn't making contact after all.

Uncoupler doesn't work on Lionel 6019 remote control track

I have a Lionel 6019 Remote Control Track with an unresponsive electromagnet uncoupler.  The uncoupler button operates the power rails for accessories like the barrel car and the Stockyard Cattle Car, but at slightly less power than the Unload button, which works perfectly.  I have carefully replaced the black ribbon wire from the switch, and I can't see where I made any incorrect connections.  The contact springs appear to make contact when I depress the buttons in the switch.  Is this worth messing with further?  Could the electromagnet be bad?  I would appreciate any suggestions or instructions about how to troubleshoot this accessory to get the uncoupler working--if possible.  Thanks.
