How do you tell the difference between these armatures?

XA11077A Thanks Irontooth
according to the books, the 1st 2 are basicly the same pre-pullmor armatures but the "A" has the oil slinger on the communtator end. these are the carry overs from the O gauge prewar AF line.
the next 2 are pullmor armatures. the main difference seems to be the # of windings and wire size on them. hope this helps
Thanks for the info. Where and what books are you refering to? I am a book junkie and woukd like to know.
Thank you
Irontooth
sorry for the long gap in reply. There is a guy in Maryland that has several books on AF and lionel armatures and coils. He had access to a lot of the gilbert paperwork from Amato's hobbys and others.
his name is Bob Hannon, and here is a ebay # for his Af book.
eBay item number: 391051579349
