I sent the engine back to the Lionel folks, They found a motor wire disconnected UNDER the shrink tubing at the motor. They fixed that with no charge to me. Thank you Lionel.

My 6-38237 engine was running erratically, speeding up and slowing down, then it stopped and will not move. I noticed that it had thrown a tire on one traction wheel, and I replaced it with a new one, but it still will not move. The sounds and smoke work fine. I removed the truck when I replaced the tire and the wheels are free and I can manually spin the motor. Did I overload the motor and blow a circuit on the board? I am out of ideas. Thanks for your time, Dave.
