Hi,
Been away from the forum for a while;
A friend showed me pics of an olive colored military train, with possibly an F7 type diesel A unit (with no motor), having a gun turret, plus some additional cars, one with a missle launcher, etc. On the side of the cab, under the window was lettered 'Sylvania' in white and a nuclear or atomic symbol.
Anyone know what this is? Possibly MPC Lionel?
Thx, and happy holidays,
runtime
Sounds like KMT to me.
Sounds like the Kusan Atomic Train, which was made in the 1950's.

I found some history on this set #KF-110, made by Kusan 1957-1960. If you want to check the history of it, check this website

Thanks guys, that is the item; Did the engine have a motor? My friend's didn't.
He sold it, with whichever cars he had for $100.

I also have a flat with a large cannon mounted that elevates and shoots wooden shells. There were also other cars included in the set when put out in the early '60s. As with Kusan, they run on two rail, O gauged track and I have run mine on Gargraves with the KMT transformer connected to the outer rails, insulated by the wooden ties. Texastrain
