IMHO,  362 barrel loader works best when you can adjust the voltage.

I get the best, most realistic and reliable operation of this accessory with just 6 volts(from a 1033 in my case), 14 is WAY too high.

IMHO,  362 barrel loader works best when you can adjust the voltage. I'd go with one of your spare transformers. There is no need for an electrical connection to the track. Then you can set the voltage, and forget about it. As has already been posted, the loader came with a 364 on-off switch, but just about any switch can be used.

Considering you have a KW, you connect one straight connection from "C" to the track, and take a switched lead from the "D" post, to the track using a 364C controller (can be substituted with a simple toggle switch)  The switch controls 12-14 volts to operate the accessory.  Simle set up. Good luck

Getting the layout up and running for Christmas.  Trying to wire the 362 barrel loader.  What is the best way to do this?  I have KW, SW, RW transformers.

Is it best to put it on fixed foltage or variable?  Not much experience with this accessory.  Did it orignally have a button or switch?

Any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks
