dougdagrump,
Try resetting the engine to factory settings.

Make sure you didn't end up with any wire frays that might be causing an arc in the engine. I upgraded a Beep to command and one tiny wire strand was semi resting on the chassis causing the lights to flicker ever so lightly.

I installed the upgrade this past weekend. On my single track around the ceiling the cruise seems to be working as far speed control is concerned but some side effects have appeared that have me befuddled.[:(]
1. All of the lights on the loco flicker as opposed to being constant as they
were prior to installation.
2. Railsounds is not functioning correctly, it sounds as if it is idling about 99%
of the time with only an intermittant chuff and steam blowoff, practically no
chuffing sounds.
Open to suggesstions, any hints or has anyone else had similar problems with their upgrades ?
