There is no rivet. The bracket has dimples that match holes on the sides of the lights. Ask your neighbor. :)
I'd have to look at one. I beleive it's an eyelet. A short 4-40 machine screw and nut should work there. Or perhaps a 6-32. Any hardware store should have them. Get a split lock washer too. The parts should be less than a dollar.
I don't think glue would work, because electricity has to pass from the "X" to the bracket. Few glues conduct electricity.
