Trying to locate a source for the drive string used on most accessories such as the news stand. Know of any sources? Trying to keep original. Thanks Dave

What you are looking for is part number 345-80 "white cord - nylon braided" or "White Nylon Drive Line" sold by the foot, available at most of the parts dealers, including The Train Tender.

You can also try www.henningstrains.com.  They sell Lionel parts.  I was in the shop back in August, nice people!

Three sources for Lionel parts.  If one of these guys doesn't have it, it is a bad sign vis a vis availability.  In no order:

Jeff at Train Tender;

East Coast Train Parts; and

Hennings Trains.
