American Flyer Trestle Bridge dating
Posted by irontooth on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 10:20 AM

I have been looking at the #750 trestle bridge and have seenone with a decal on the bridge deck and another with a metal plate next to the shack.  Can you date them by the decal and plate? Which would older?

Thanks

This bridge was made from 1946-1956. All my information that I have shows the accessories made during this period to have the plate or decal at any given time. AC Gilbert, I believe, didn't have a year when he stopped putting on one and switched to the other. I know that's not the answer you're looking for, but that's the information that I have.

Thanks Ray. that does help because It helps me to understand that AC Gilbert  was fluid on the labeling of items.

Thanks
