I have seen these on ebay from time to time, but apart from what you have said, I can't tell you much more. However, they are quite rare and when they do show up on ebay, they sell for quite a bit of money.

Hey Ya'll

Sorry, Idon't know about these. They must be rare as I have never heard or read about them until now.

Try E-bay. That might work

Little Jim Train Construction Sets

Hi- Does anyone know anything about these construction sets, perhaps sold by J. C. Penney Department Stores (?) and perhaps manufactured by the American Flyer Company (?). The components were made of unpainted, rather heavy gauge steel, and were assembled using round head machine screws. The various construction sets could be used to assemble several of the following cars: gondola, flatcar, lumber car, machinery car, cattle car, dump car, armored car, coal car, tank car, wrecker and caboose. I do not believe a locomotive was ever available. The cars could be assembled with either O-gauge of standard gauge trucks. Thanks- Richard
