Lionel 2354 frame restore question
Posted by northernpike on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 1:11 PM

Fixing up my 2354 NYC F3.  Got a clean original shell.  Paint on frame is really chipped-lots of bare metal.

Never noticed it before, but it really sticks out with the new shell.

Has anyone out there repainted this frame?  I remember a CTT article about off the shelf paint matching certain postwar trains but cannot find it.  Gray paint is really dinged, cannnot tell if it is a satin or flat.   Any suggestions?  Thanks Northernpike

Be aware that is airbrush paint. It is top quality paint though. Charles Woods should have it in spray cans.
