New Lionel scale Polar Express Berkshires - will they have sounds from the movie?

I couldn't find any information in the catalogs about whether the new Lionel scale PE Berkshires will have the correct whistle or sound clips from the movie. Anyone know?

Yes.

On Page 38 it says "Same great locomotive features as found on The Polar Express Scale Gold Berkshire on pg 36"

On Page 36 The Polar Express Scale Gold Berkshire is LCS equipped

Page 30 of the 2014 RTR catalog does say you get All Aboard" and "Tickets Please",  , "Official sound clips" with the Lion Chief Sets

To be clear, I am referencing the scale PE Berkshire (big $$), not the RTR set. I know some get scale and O-gauge intermixed, but the RTR sets are not scale.

I think LCS equipped means it communicates with trackside accessories.

In bold type it clearly says on page 36 of Lionel's 2014 Christmas Catalog " Legacy Railsounds"

No - LCS equipped engines means it comes with the Legacy Speed Control and Legacy Railsounds. Engines do not communicate with trackside accessories... well they may in the future since Lionel has introduced the IR track sections.

So you are going all in with the PE Berkshires in the 2014-1 catalog on pages 17&18?

I see what you mean. Those come with the Legacy system that just features the standard crewtalk and Towercom. Lionel's practice with TMCC and now Legacy has been to offer a stationsounds diner with the additional passenger sound effects. I would reach out to Lionel customer service and ask if they intend on offering one for this set.

Thanks. I sent a question to Lionel.
