Motor is good, but needs wheels, so I need to know what number AF loco this is. Thought I was a 617, but it has no embossed rivets on the shell.
Thanks!
Hi Grizzly Adams.
Looks like you have an non-numbered type XVIII locomotive from 1932 called the Champion Locomotive. I can't find it in my 1932 catalog but my reference book says it's from the Dictator set number 941T.
Good luck

Thank you Ray! I appreciate your help!
Here's the complete set.
Great looking set!
Looks like I have a lot of parts to find for this engine! Are reproduction wheels and rods available for this one?
I bet there are but I'm not sure. You might want to give Eric Trickel a call as he has many prewar American Flyer parts. 484-624-4354.
Good luck.
I will give him a call. Thanks, Ray!
