Gilberto, your English is a LOT better than my Portugese! Feel free to comment anytime!
And welcome aboard! We have a lot of fun and learn a lot here.
And it's always exciting to hear from another model railroader in another country as well!
And if you're really interested in American railroading let me suggest the "Trains" and "Classic Trains" websites, easily reached through the Trains.com Sites bar on the upper end of this website. There's a lot to be learned there too.
Hi Gilberto,
The answer to your question is yes. All the LC+ locomotive needs is 18v on the track to run with the remote.
If you do not want to run the locomotive with the remote there is a switch to run it with the transformer however a ZW only has a Whistle button so you would not have full control in that mode.
Dear Freinds.
I am here in Brazil and I love your magazine (our beloved magazine) Classic Toys Trains! I recently bought a new technology HUDSON locomotive eat LionChief Lionel PLUS ... She has not yet arrived here at home! Before buying I searched all available information about the LionChieh LionChief Plus and trains! And also, I read your article Classic Toy Trains of July (page 66) ... Very nice ...
But as you can see, my english is very poor ...
So I guess I did not understand right and doubt remains! I hope I can make myself understood.
My doubt is:
Using a standard to provide 18 volts on track (postwar type ZW) transformer I can use all functions of the handheld controller command?
Yes or no?
Thank you for your attention!
I'm Just a fan of this "delicious" magazine
